Plano Foreclosures
The Plano foreclosures portion of the Plano real estate market features a fairly large number of homes. Year to date (October 20, 2009), there have been a total of 2310 Plano MLS listings that have sold. Of the 2310 Plano homes that have sold since the first of the year, 226 of those MLS listings have been foreclosures, or a little under 10% of the sales have been foreclosures.
Despite the large number of Plano foreclosure sales, the Plano real estate market has remained much stronger than most of the other Dallas-Fort Worth suburban home markets. And at least at the present time, it appears the number of Plano foreclosures on the market has decreased substantially from year 2008. The number of Plano foreclosures that have sold for the first 9 1/2 months, 226, is considerably lower than the number of Plano foreclosures that sold in the first 9 1/2 months of 2008, which stood at 323 foreclosures sold.
The number of Plano foreclosures currently on the market is a fairly large number. At the present time, the Plano real estate market consists of ninety (90) foreclosed properties on the market, of which only twenty-eight (28) do not already have contracts on them.
