Dallas one acre lot homes may not be as plentiful as one would expect for a city of Dallas’ size, however there will be a few options. Dallas homes on a one acre lot, as a general rule, will be some of the more expensive real estate properties in the Dallas – Fort Worth Metroplex. Everything used to be ‘bigger’ in Texas, but that may no longer be the case. The majority of the subdivisions in the Dallas – Fort Worth Metroplex are developed around 6,000 to 7,500 square feet lots. With land within the I-635 loop in limited supply, the quantity of homes in a subdivision seems to be more important to the builders than the amount of space surrounding the homes, thus leaving large backyard play area for kids (and adults) at a minimum.
The northwest quadrant of Dallas is an exception to this trend, but bring your pocketbook. There are 3 or 4 times more homes on Dallas one acre lots than the other 3 quadrants of Dallas combined. These Dallas one acre lot homes will number in the range about 60 properties at any one time, with the least expensive in the $400,000.00 range, and only 3 or 4 priced less than $1,000,000.00, and the high end in the $15,000,000.00 price range. There are currently sixty-five (65) properties currently on the market in the northwest Dallas area. The other three quadrants of Dallas have considerably few Dallas one acre lot homes.

I am looking for at older home in the DFW area on an acre of land with lots of room for my big dogs to run. I am able to get the house repair if it needs it. The only thing that I can’t do is electrical or the roof. Please let me know if there is anything like that in your area. Thanks, Judith Crowley 214-664-6852
